Wroclaw

The City of Wroclaw, which is the capital of the Dolnoslaskie Region, has roughly 635,900 inhabitants (18% of the region’s population). The local economy is wealthy and highly attractive to investors. The Wroclaw sub-region’s GDP per capita is 46.4% higher than the national average, fuelled by services. The city strives to attract investors from high-tech industries. Wroclaw is one of the Polish venues for the EURO Championships 2012, which will provide an impetus to local economic growth.

Wroclaw’s administration is efficient and has a consistent view of the city’s long-term development. It aims to simultaneously develop its social services, education and culture as well as local infrastructure and create a positive business environment in the city and its subregion. Wroclaw is very effective at soliciting financing from the EU. The city is launching several important infrastructural projects with neighbouring local governments and the Region of Dolnoslaskie.
